We make objects for people who care how their space feels.
At Modhaus, we believe the things you surround yourself with shape how you feel. We started this studio out of frustration with disposable design, and built it around the idea that honest materials and timeless design should be more accessible.
We work in small batches, using real materials like solid wood and concrete — because they last and feel good to live with. We want the objects we make to feel permanent. Like they belong in the home you’re building.
Hopefully, Modhaus helps people slow down, buy better, and feel good about where they live and work — because they chose things that were made with care.

Designed & Made in Austin, TX.
Modhaus is a one-person design studio based in Austin, Texas, making objects and furniture for the workspace and home — built from natural materials, and made for people who care how their space feels. Every piece is handcrafted in-house, in small batches, from our own workshop.

The Origin Story
Modhaus started not long after I moved into a slightly bigger apartment — our first real upgrade from a cramped one-bedroom to a two-bedroom that finally had some breathing room. I rented a small garage nearby and slowly turned it into a makeshift workshop.
It was in that dusty little garage, tucked between apartment buildings and filled with the smell of oak, that my love for furniture and design really took shape. I think it was because I was working remotely and spending nearly all day at home. I didn’t have much furniture, and I was just starting out in my career, but I knew I wanted to build a home that felt good to be in. Improving my space became a way of investing in myself — and my desk is where it started.
I began building small accessories and objects to help keep my workspace organized. Not because I had some grand vision, but because everything on the market felt either cheap and mass-produced or priced like luxury art. I felt quality should be more accessible.
What began as a side project quickly turned into something deeper: a love for real materials, intentional spaces, and objects that make you feel good every time you use them.
I started Modhaus to fill the gap between disposable design and high-end objects that feel out of reach. To create pieces that feel permanent, solid, sculptural, and built with care — objects that bring texture, structure, and calm to the spaces you live and work in.
Everything is made by hand in small batches, right here in Austin, Texas. I work with wood and concrete because they age well, feel grounded, and bring warmth and contrast into modern spaces.
Modhaus is for people who care about how their space feels. People who are building homes, rituals, and routines they actually want to keep. If that’s you, I hope something here helps your space feel a little more yours.
