The Upright doesn’t modify charging speed. It simply holds your existing MagSafe charger securely in place for a cleaner, more reliable experience.
The Upright works with Apple MagSafe chargers and most standard third-party options. Some oversized aftermarket chargers may not fit properly.
It's held securely using a black micro-suction pad. It works by creating a gentle vacuum when pressure is applied. This keeps the charger in place during use but allows it to be removed cleanly, without leaving any residue. Just press the charger lightly into the pad to activate the grip.

Great looking piece that matches my desk decor well. It has a great weight to it so it is easy to take the phone off and on without pushing the holder all over the place.
I searched high and low for a base charger that was magsafe compatible, looked high quality/modern, and most important-requires only one hand to pick up the phone. The sticky stuff on it just isn’t strong enough to keep the MagSafe down. Most often, I go to grab my phone and the wire comes flying through the hole. This is advertised as being able to pick up with one hand, but without some serious sleight of hand/fingers-that doesn’t work.

The black pad isn’t meant to feel sticky; it’s a microsuction surface that grips when pressed in firmly. The craftsmanship
I was using a silicone charger holder before this, but the stone and wood combination just seems so intentional in comparison. The weight of the stand keeps my phone upright, whereas with the silicone one it was constantly falling over. Great product, definitely worth the money.
